The Kane County Sheriff's office Pretrial Services works closely with the Kane County Attorneys Office and the 6th District and Kane County Justice Courts to provide services to citizen who have been arrested for either misdemeanor or felony charges..
Pretrial Services allows qualifying individuals to be released from jail while awaiting a court hearing. Utilizing the least restrictive conditions possible,

If you have been arrested and have released by posted bail or have been released on your own recognizance (OR) that requires pretrial conditions, your must contact pretrial service within 24hrs of being released.
Pretrial services in office hours:
Monday-Friday 8 am to 4 pm
On court dates (usually Tuesdays and Thursdays) you may not be able to reach the pretrial deputy. Please leave a message and pretrial services will return your call. Please leave your name and contact information.
On Weekends you may not be able to reach the pretrial deputy. Please leave a message and pretrial services will return your call during business hours. Please leave your name and contact information.
You only need call once and leave a message. This will be considered your "first check in" as required by your release conditions.
If you have been released with pretrial conditions you must complete the pretrial packet for the level you have been assigned by the courts.
PRETRIAL PACKET
Pretrial Services allows qualifying individuals to be released from jail while awaiting a court hearing. Utilizing the least restrictive conditions possible,
PRETRIAL DOES:
- Help ensure that appropriate pretrial defendants are released from jail as quickly as possible.
- Monitor all court-ordered release conditions such as regular contact, court attendance, drug testing as ordered
- Report non-compliance to the court.
- Provide support to defendants.
PRETRIAL DOESN'T:
- Arrest defendants
- Conduct home visits
- Contact employers or schools
- Perform searches
